  1. It was a great article! That ‘s how I found your blog. I’m in my 30’s and really appreciated that article. It’s nice to know that I’m not alone. If I hear one more person say ” Arthritis, your too young to have that” I’m going to scream. It is so frustrating constantly having to explain to people that there are many different types of arthritis and that even babies can get it.

  2. Hi Stacey,
Thanks for your comment! I know, I’ve spent years listening to people say I’m too young to have it. Yes, yes I am. And, nobody should have to suffer from it, regardless of age. I think there is still a lot of confusion and misinformation out there about arthritis.

Good to hear from you and thanks for reading my blog! Hang in there. :)

  3. Yeah, I agree, and thank you too! My daughter was diagnosed four years ago at the start of her high school freshman year and spent her high school career trying to manage things and keep up with her peers — now preparing for college , and living with the thousands of necessary compromises to move forward in an ordinary life with extraordinary challenges

Soooo much more needs to happen for awareness, acceptance, and research

    1. Hi Lorraine, thank you for your comment! Wow I really empathize with you and your daughter trying to deal with RA while she’s in high school. My symptoms actually started the summer before 12th grade. I hope the best for you both. If she ever wants to email or talk with me, let her know she’s more than welcome to get in touch with me. Living with RA does make you face extraordinary challenges. But I also know firsthand that it doesn’t mean things in life have to be impossible to accomplish.

Thanks again for writing! Tell your daughter I hope she’s feeling well.

  4. Again, good article! And you look darling in your picture.

Ive been wanting to talk to you about the Remicade. Can you send me an email reminding me of your gmail addy, so I can email you? I have it on my desktop, but since I never turn it on, now that I’m done with the photography, I dont know it offhand. Thanks!
